Certainly everyone in the US wants the war in Iraq to end as soon as possible and the safe return of our heros fighting there for us, but it puzzles me why some think that we should leave Iraq and things will get better. After helping those fighting against the USSR in Afghanistan during World War III, they have turned their hatred on us through numerous attacks. What makes opponents of the War in Iraq think that after retreating and turning Iraq over to those who hate us, they will suddenly have a change of heart and leave us alone? If we do that we will only prove Bin Laden correct again that we don't have backbone to defend our freedom and way of life. Those who favor withdrawing refuse to accept that we are in the World War IV.
