New York GOP - analyze your districts better

Watching the New York 23rd Congressional race has been interesting.  After the New York GOP picked a candidate who was hardly distinguishable from the Democratic candidate, Dierdre Scozzafava showed her great loyalty to the GOP by dropping out and supporting the Democratic candidate over the other GOP candidate running on the Conservative Party ticket. Clearly the New York GOP doesn't seem to know their voters in this district who have supported a third party candidate who is really a conservative Republican and will support the Republicans when elected. This is good for conservative Republicans, but a sad reflection on the New York GOP.

Obama Lied; Taxes Will Rise

During the campaign, Obama declared that there would be a tax cut for the middle class, but now that he is in power, he will be raising taxes on the middle class. Taxes for healthcare; taxes on energy; and of course the sneaky tax, inflation.

Government Monoply on Healthcare

On our current trend, I believing we are headed for a single payer healthcare system, long the hope of the liberal democrats. When taxpayers are making up for all the poor performance of the government controlled system, how can a private company compete? When the government healthcare option doesn't have to pay taxes and the private company does, how can a private company compete? When the government makes all the rules to advantage their healthcare option, how can a private company compete? These are only a few of the reasons presented recently by Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin. Watch the compelling presentation (http://www.house.gov/ryan/video/71609WM2.htm).

I ask you, "Today when you are dissatified with your doctor, what do you do?"  Of course you choose a different doctor. "Today, when you are dissatisfied with your healthcare what do you do?"  Of course you choose a different provider. "When there is only one provider, what will you do?" You will have no alternative. "When you have been unfairly treated by your healthcare provider, what do you do?" Take them to court an seek redress, of course. "When the government is the only provider and you can't sue the government, what will you do?" When the government healthcare tells you your parent isn't worth spending money for a heart operation to give them many years of health, what will you do? When it is your turn to be in need, what will you do?

When you look at how well the government is doing at healthcare with its current programs, medicare and veteran administration, do you really want the government managing all your healthcare?

What did Pelosi know and when did she know it

Congress is in such a rush to investigate those who authorized torturing the terrorists that they should begin by looking at themselves. From someone who was there, it was reported that Pelosi and all the Democratic leadership knew and approved of all the methods used during the Bush years.  They were briefed on all methods before they were used and they had the opportunity to object, but they approved.  Now that the fringe left had been giving Obama his marching orders, they want to try the Bush administration.  They will have to convict themselves first as they knew and approved.

Recall Obama

Some states permit voters to recall a politician who is making such a mess of executing his office.  Sure too bad we can't do that for president.

Fascism's Financial Crisis

From Liberal Fascism, "Crisis is routinely identified as a core mechanism of fascism because it short-circuits debate and democratic deliberation.  Hence all fascistic movements commit considerable energy to prolonging a heightened state of emergency." Doesn't this sound familiar to what we've been going through for the last year. We've had to "trust" our politicians to get it right over the weekend because we don't have time to really consider the best solution. So far we've poured several TRILLION DOLLARS into solving this emergency, and we've still got an emergency.  Pres. Obama hinted that we'll have to pour a few more trillion in before we are able to payback his contributors and transform our capitalist democracy into a socialist state,  sorry before we fix the economy.

Keep your hands out of my gun safe!!!

H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009

Keep your hands out of my gun safe!!!

Liberals again trying to legislate away the consititutional rights.

Democrats Bipartisanship

Politicians are always talking about bipartisanship.  They want all their bills to look like there has been a meeting of the minds from all side, even both sides of the aisle.  They have discussed the strengths and weaknesses of proposals.  Then after considerable thought and deliberation, they have drawn conclusions and reached the best solution.  Last week we saw the meaning of Democrats Bipartisanship.  All in crisis mode and in the middle of the night Democrats crafted their recovery plan. They declared that they had reached across the aisle in the House, considered and accepted Republican proposals in committee, all of which were dropped from the final legislation presented on the floor.  But they could boast about "bipartisanship". Then on to the Senate. In the Senate they didn't have enough votes to pass their pork laden bill without bipartisanship.  So they were forced to reach across the aisle again. This time when they reached across the aisle, they handed earmarks to some Republicans.  Oh, I'm sorry they were not earmarks; Obama won't allow those in legislation.  They were amendments. So after bribing Sen. Specter with the opportunity to add about $10B to his pet interests, Democrats again reached across the aisle and in a bipartisan manner, yanked three RINOs across the aisle to vote for bill. Of course it has to go to conference committee where there were questions about how they might reconcile the pork laden versions in the House and Senate.  There was speculation that combined the bill would grow even fatter.  Wisely the Democrats reduced the bill to a more palatable amount.  But then was is that difficult to trim a little fat so that you can say, "See we are conservative, we didn't let this bill get out of hand."

So Democrats Bipartisanship is reaching a hand across the aisle with enough trinkets to bribe a just enough RINOs and then yank them back across the aisle to quickly vote for the legislation.

Welcome back Carter

The last time the democrats controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House was under Bill Clinton for 2 years; they tried to pass Hillary Care.  Before that it was under Jimmy Carter where we had high inflation, high interest rates, and HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT. When Herman Cain asked Bill Clinton how to cope with the increased minimum wage, Clinton responded, "Raise your prices." Cain replied that he would have to lay off people. We are in for more of this - inflation and unemployment.

Obama promises more spending counter balanced by cuts.  I'm waiting for the revelation of the cuts.  I've heard this promise from too many politician, but they never seem to find the fraud and wasted programs to cut.

I'm sure we will get the change Obama promise;  will we really like the change?

Welcome back to the Carter malaise.

Obama style change

Barak Obama has been promising change.  If you want to see what kind of change you'll get with Obama, look at the economy over recent weeks. His friends in congress pushed banks to make loans to people who couldn't afford them and penalized banks that didn't. His economic advisor Franklin D. Raines was the head of Fannie Mae who told us they didn't need normal reserves because this was real estate. Barney Frank resisted oversight for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, saying they were in fine shape. So now we have a mortgage disaster and you wonder what change Obama will bring us.

Wanting a new pay grade

Warren: "At what point is a baby entitled to human rights?"
Obama: "Answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade."

If answering that question is above your current pay grade, don't expect us to increase your responsibility or pay grade.

The Forgotten war in Afghanistan - What will a democratic president do?

The forgotten war in Afghanistan. Both democratic candidates like to point out that Pres. Bush took his eye off of the real war, the one in Afghanistan where we are supposed to be searching for Bin Laden. They want to pound the podium that Pres. Bush lied about WMDs and that's the reason we are in Iraq.

So I want to know why none of the media ever follow up on these assertions. Since both senators are so concerned for our exit plan from Iraq, I have these questions for them:
  1. How many troops are you planning to commit to Afghanistan to fight the real war?
  2. How long will it take to find Bin Laden?
  3. What will you do with him when you find him? Will you invite him to the White House so you can sit down and talk?
  4. When will you have all of our troops out of Afghanistan? Is that a date certain?
  5. How long will it take to establish a functioning democracy in Afghanistan?
  6. Or do you even care what kind of government is established in Afghanistan as long as we get Bin Laden?
  7. What will you do to curtail the heroin production in Afghanistan or do you care about their economy?
  8. When you win the war in Afghanistan and run Al Qaida into Pakistan what will you do?
  9. Do you only want to capture Bin Laden or are you concerned about the millions of others who want to kill us?
I suspect that it is just their way of saying Bush was WRONG, and the media plays along.  But someone needs to ask them.

MoveOn should move out

So now we know where Dingy Harry learned his ability to look into a crystal ball and see the future.  Now we see that it is MoveOn that has taught him.  Even before the General testified, MoveOn foresaw that he would betray us and lie to the Congress. It is so sad to see that the Democratic party is do indebted to MoveOn that they are not willing to condemn the wackos at MoveOn

Flying the flag

Harry Reid & John Murtha

Reid:  John, should we take down the white flag and put up the stars and stripes now that we might be the winning side?
Murtha: Damn the facts, leave up the surrender flag.
